NTX Car Club

If you're looking for a great event to attend before the next NTX event, SYK Rides puts on a fantastic event once a month at Parry's Pizza off of 380 and Hardin. It's a very casual event, and some cool cars usually show up. They also have a raffle for a free detail or tint! The next show is August 22. You should come out!

Reminder the Laps for Charity was rescheduled for this Saturday 8/8/2026. The registration is not handled by the NTXCC, however if you are feeling the need for a little speed (without the fear of giving your autograph to the local PD, then this is the place!

The cost to run is $60 and you register on Laps for Charity Registration | Speedway Children's Charities

If at least 10 cars are registered, you get 5 laps. If not, they will put you with a group or you only get 3 laps. Nevertheless, it is an experience to remember. ....... If you have not done before, this it is an amazing treat to drive your car on this track. If you have the lead foot you will easily exceed 100MPH.

Know that there are at least 5 members registered and will meet at Buc-cees between 5 - 5:30. Line up and the track time is approx. 6:15PM.

It is a great time.

I'll go first...

Many years ago, I found out the hard way that Louisiana State Troopers don't appreciate late-night "spirited driving." 😳 I was clocked at 120-mph in a 60-mph zone in my '68 Dodge Charger on a dark stretch of Highway 90 around midnight. Let's just say...it was a good night and an expensive lesson! 😂

True story, my dad was a Cop at the time........ Cannot repeat that speech from him or the judge.😂

And don't worry...we won't be sharing your answers with the local PD! 🤣

The National Corvette Museum just announced summer dates for the Bowling Green Assembly Plant tours! I have been trying to get a tour for quite sometime and had no luck. There have been VERY few dates so far this year but dates now available in July, August and September. Dear NTX Car Club Family,

It is with a heavy heart that I share the news of the passing of our dear friend and longtime member, Michael ”Mike” Hammack, who left us this morning, May 6th.

Mike was more than a member - he was a cornerstone of this club. His years of service, dedication, his service on the board, and his genuine love for this community made him someone truly irreplaceable. Many of us will forever remember his pride in his Corvette and the incredible blue and white Cobra that he built with his own hands…… a true reflection of the passion and craftsmanship he brought to everything he did.

Mike’s contribution to the NTX Car Club will not be forgotten, and neither will his friendship. Please keep Mary, David, and Chris his wife and sons and their families in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

He will be deeply missed!
