The North Texas summer heat has officially arrived, and it didn't waste any time! 🥵☀️

You'll probably see a few of us cruising down the highway with the tops down...but let's be honest, the A/C is probably on full blast! 😎❄️

I'll go first...

Many years ago, I found out the hard way that Louisiana State Troopers don't appreciate late-night "spirited driving." 😳 I was clocked at 120-mph in a 60-mph zone in my '68 Dodge Charger on a dark stretch of Highway 90 around midnight. Let's just say...it was a good night and an expensive lesson! 😂

True story, my dad was a Cop at the time........ Cannot repeat that speech from him or the judge.😂

And don't worry...we won't be sharing your answers with the local PD! 🤣

The National Corvette Museum just announced summer dates for the Bowling Green Assembly Plant tours! I have been trying to get a tour for quite sometime and had no luck. There have been VERY few dates so far this year but dates now available in July, August and September. A message from Mike Istre:

Dear NTX Car Club Family,

It is with a heavy heart that I share the news of the passing of our dear friend and longtime member, Michael ”Mike” Hammack, who left us this morning, May 6th.

Mike was more than a member - he was a cornerstone of this club. His years of service, dedication, his service on the board, and his genuine love for this community made him someone truly irreplaceable. Many of us will forever remember his pride in his Corvette and the incredible blue and white Cobra that he built with his own hands…… a true reflection of the passion and craftsmanship he brought to everything he did.

Mike’s contribution to the NTX Car Club will not be forgotten, and neither will his friendship. Please keep Mary, David, and Chris his wife and sons and their families in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

He will be deeply missed!

Hello everyone,

Spring is in the air and the summer months, and vacation fun will be here before we know it. Speaking of fun, we would like to get a picture of your vanity plate and the back story for the reason for your selection.

If you could take a picture and add the story with it and send to ntxcarclub@gmail.com that would be great.

Once we have them all, we will post here and Facebook.

I know there are some great vanity plates out there and great stories about them. We'd love to know the reason for the selection and the conversations that it brings when folks see your car and plate.
