1939 Chevy Master Deluxe

How long have you owned your car?  1939 Chevy Master Deluxe.  We purchased the car from Gateway Classics in June of this 2021.

When did you decide to buy your car?  Before this car, we had a 1956 Belair.  It was part original and part an older restoration.  It ran a lot of the time, but needed work.  With the pandemic, we (like most people) didn’t put many miles on our daily drivers.  So we decided to turn in one of them, and sell the Belair to get a more reliable ‘garage car’ to be our 2nd car.

If you could list the options that it has and what have you added?  The car was a frame off restoration that was done a few years ago.  They replaced everything on the car with updated parts.

·         Gen3 5.3L LS-based V8 with Aluminum 243 Heads and Edelbrock Pro-Flo XT Intake

·         4L65E 4-speed automatic

·         Mustang II front suspension

·         Ford 8.8 rear end with Posi and 3.56 gears

·         All-steel body; all original metal except the smooth firewall, rear roll pan, and door bottoms

·         Lamborghini Pearl-Orange BASF Glasurit paint

·         Custom interior with a dash setup modelled after a 1955 Belair

·         Aluminum artillery wheels from The Wheel Smith (17x7 and 18x10s)

What do you like to do with the car, cruises, car shows, etc.  We use the car as a 2nd vehicle.  So it gets used for a lot.  Grocery store runs (obviously), picking the boys up from school, and any other reason we can find to go for a drive.  Always enjoy the chance to cruise with the club on the monthly rides, too.
