Hello everyone and hope this email finds you well. We have an great event that we wanted to share with the club members. We have a partnered with Scott Brewer, Asst. Chief of Police of Prosper and the VFW to participate in the convoy of MIA / POW Wall Journey on Saturday May 4th.. The journey will start at the VFW Post in Bonham and end at the VFW in Pottsboro. It is a great opportunity to show your support for the Veterans and to those that "Gave All" for our freedom.

There will be additional information coming in April as we will meet again with the Asst. Chief on April 15th to get the final details of the event. However, in the interim wanted to get the information out to everyone to collect the names and headcount of those that want to attend. As a goal we would like to have at least 20 - 25 cars in the convoy, and the more the better. Also, you may have an opportunity to have a veteran ride with you in your vehicle. The VFW is in the process of vetting those that will attend the event and who can ride in one of our vehicles. It is totally up to you to drive whatever you may want to drive, your toy car or your daily driver. If you happen to have a veteran ride with you, it will not be your responsibiity to bring them back to Bonham. A bus is being provided to bring them back to their destination.
The convoy from Bonham to Pottsboro will be led by Police escort and the roadways will be blocked so that we may travel non stop. There will also be a fixed wing plane taking pictures of the convoy along the route and a drone filming everyone leaving the VFW Post in Bonham and arriving at the VFW Post in Pottsboro, on Lake Texoma. There are 2 TV stations that have been invited as well.
We will be meeting as a group at Buccee's in Melissa AT 7:00 AM that morning for coffee / restroom / fuel and departing no later than 7:30AM to Bonham. It is about a 45 min cruise from Buccees to Bonham and this will allow us enough time to get in line for the convoy.
Please register as attendng and if not sure at this time click the interested tab so we can get a headcout of folks and vehicles.
