NTX Car Club

The 2019 C63s included several upgrades over the previous model: LED dynamic headlights, 9 speed dual clutch transmission, electronic traction control directly from the Mercedes Project One race car, electronic Limit Slip Differential, and giant 6 piston 15.4″ composite disc brakes. The engine is a hand built twin turbocharged (called a “Hot V” configuration as the turbos sit on top of the engine in the V) intercooled DOHC 32 valve V8, aluminum block and heads, with direct injection. It came with a little over 500 H.P. and I had the engine Renntech tuned to just over 600 H.P.

This car has factory air conditioning, factory 8-Track tape player, factory disc brakes, automatic transmission, and of course the Roadrunner Beep Beep horn. I will drive it every weekend (weather permitting) in the Spring and Summer. I love taking it to car shows and cruises.

The 2021 C-8 Corvette Convertible is my first Corvette.  It’s a Rapid Blue 2LT convertible with performance exhaust and red calipers.  I like convertibles and have been happy with my Fiat 124 Spyder for over 45 years.  A few years ago I wanted a more powerful car so I bought a Porsche 911 Carrera which I have taken to Eagles Canyon with my friend Jeff as my instructor.  The C8 takes the place of both of those cars, it’s a convertible and a powerful sports car (but I still have the Fiat and Porsche – can’t seem to make myself sell them).

I purchased this truck Oct 29, 2020 after spending two years looking for the “next” muscle car. I wanted something that stood out a bit and drew attention. I wanted a resto rod that had all the upgrades already done. Late model motor and suspension with A/C and heat. (I came close)

David and Tonja bought their 2016 Z51 in January of 2019. I bought the car up in Denton at James Woods. Big change going from a Tahoe to a Corvette, but we love it! We enjoy the monthly cruises with the club and usually take it out every weekend that we can.

Paul purchased the car in the late 90’s with a dream of what he would build. He disassembled the car from the frame and then did a frame off restoration/customization to the car. As one might suggest, you have to be pretty creative, have a vision and know quite a bit about cars to put one of these together. Well, with that said the labor of love began, he worked on the car on and off over the span of 20 years. The project went from an idea to reality. Today it is a fun ride that captures a lot of attention when he and his wife Gay are out cruising the highways and byways of Texas.

The 1968 Camaro SS has been my dream car since I was a freshman in high school but my father would not let me get one. Fast forward 32 years to December of 2019 when my monthly reminder to look on Auto-Trader classics popped up and I saw this car. I loved everything about it and then saw where it was located…1.4 miles from my house in Prosper. That is how I met current NTX Car Club member and (then) car owner Kevin Hayes.

I purchased this 2014 GTR in the spring of 2015. It was completely stock when I got it and I immediately start modifying it. The modifications were done by JoTech Racing in Garland and they have been the only ones to touch the car since I purchased it. It is currently a JoTech Stage 5 which means it has a complete custom built engine on the stock block, a Sheptrans 2.5 GR6 transmission, upgraded brakes and aerodynamics. It dynos at 1085 HP at the wheels.

It is an awesome honor being selected as “Car of the month.” The 2018 Maserati Granturismo Sport is my second Maserati. Previously I had a 2015 Maserati Quattroporte which supposedly means four door in Italian. I liked the car but it was not what I had hoped for. The main issue with the Quattroporte was that it spent about as much time in the shop as it did on the road and in my garage. A little over a year ago I decided It was time to get something a little sportier with two doors. I looked at Corvettes, Aston Martin, and several others. I then found out that there were some real enticing incentives offered by Maserati for current Maserati owners.
